Synoptic Situation

A shallow westerly wave is present over western and upper parts of the country and likely to strengthened from tomorrow.

Friday

Cold and partly cloudy weather is expected over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas. Smog (while, moderate to dense fog in patches) is likely to persist over Punjab, Upper Sindh and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Saturday

Cold and partly cloudy weather is expected over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas during morning/night hours. However, rain (light Snowfall over mountains) is expected at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. Smog (while, moderate to dense fog in patches during morning and night) is likely to persist over Punjab, Upper Sindh and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
