Warning

Wind-duststorm/hailstorm and lightning may damage loose structures like electric poles, trees, vehicles and solar panels etc while ,Windstorm/hailstorm may be destructive for the standing crops over the plains of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during 26th and 27th March.
Moderate to few heavy rainfalls may cause landslides /slippery conditions on the roads in Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum valley, Bagh, Poonch, Haveli. While, heavy rain may generate flash flood in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan and Mansehra during the forecast period.

Synoptic Situation

A strong westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist till 27th March.

Wednesday

Intermittent rain-windstorm/thunderstorm (snow over high mountains) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and most places in Kashmir, while upper Punjab, Islamabad and northeastern Balochistan. Isolated heavyfalls/hailstorm is also likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Thursday

Intermittent rain-windstorm/thunderstorm (snow over high mountains) is expected in most parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan Kashmir, while at isolated places in upper Punjab, Islamabad and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Isolated heavyfalls/hailstorm is also likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

Hailstorm is also likely at few places in the southern districts, while moderate to heavy rain is expected at isolated places in the upper districts.
